Claude Venard (1913 -1999)  was a french painter of  post-Cubist compositional style, and progressively accentuated the chromatism of his pallet up to reaching the crudest of colours, which he used in very thick forms and sometime applied with a pallet knife.

Working as a restorer at the Louvre Museum at age of 23 ,(in order to earn money) turned out to be beneficial for him in order to become a great painter.
